Choose the workflow you want to repeat every day. taskl.ie brings Discord reports, reviewed issues and deployment context together. Linear is worth evaluating if your team wants its broader product-planning and customer-feedback workflows.

This comparison is written by the team building taskl.ie. We distinguish documented capabilities from our recommendations. taskl.ie is in beta; the examples below are not claims of feature parity.

Both connect to Discord and AI tools

Linear supports issue creation, search and daily summaries from Discord. It also has an MCP server for finding, creating and updating issues, projects and comments. Those capabilities are not unique to taskl.ie. See Linear’s Discord documentation and its MCP documentation.

The useful question is how a conversation becomes work in your team. In taskl.ie, a selected message or /task instruction produces an editable proposal with source context. A person reviews it before applying the change. That review step is the centre of the capture workflow.

When taskl.ie is worth a pilot

Try taskl.ie when reports arrive in Discord and keeping the original discussion attached is a repeated chore. It is also a useful candidate when a merged pull request is only an intermediate step and your team needs to follow the issue into a deployed environment.

Start with a small project. Set up the workspace, connect Discord if you need capture, and link GitHub. Deployment visibility needs a pipeline connection; it does not appear just because you move an issue to Done. AI-tool access requires an authorised MCP connection.

When to stay with Linear

If Linear already fits your team’s planning and feedback process, switching carries a cost. Its Customer Requests feature associates feedback with customers and can use attributes such as tier and revenue. If those relationships drive prioritisation, evaluate them directly before considering a move. Linear’s Customer Requests documentation describes that workflow.

We do not claim taskl.ie replaces every Linear integration, administrative control or reporting feature. Nor does this page promise an automatic migration of your history.

A practical evaluation

  1. Pick a real report with enough discussion to need context.
  2. Capture it, check the draft and assign an owner.
  3. Find that context from the web app and your AI tool.
  4. Link the fix, deploy it, and check how you answer “is it live?”
  5. Compare setup effort, repeated manual steps and the result your team can share.

Use the same report in both evaluations. Keep existing work where it is until the new workflow earns a wider rollout. taskl.ie is free while in beta; check each vendor’s current terms before committing.
