Terms of service

Last updated:

The terms for using taskl.ie, including acceptable use.

1. Agreement and operator

These terms govern your use of taskl.ie and related services provided by Rían Errity, trading as Paradaux (“we”, “us”). Contact: rian@paradaux.io. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these terms. If you act for an organisation, you confirm you have authority to bind it. You must be at least 18 and legally able to enter this agreement.

Our privacy policy explains personal data handling. Our data processing addendum forms part of this agreement where we process personal data on your behalf. A separately signed agreement prevails over conflicting terms; the DPA prevails for its subject matter.

2. Accounts and workspace administration

Provide accurate account information, protect credentials and access tokens, and promptly report suspected compromise. You are responsible for actions you authorise and for managing your users, permissions, integrations, and public sharing settings. Administrators may control workspace content and access. Do not access another person’s account without permission.

3. Your content and our service

You retain your rights in content you submit. You grant us a limited licence to host, reproduce, transmit, and process that content only to provide, secure, and support the service, follow your instructions, and comply with law. You must have the rights and legal basis needed to submit content and authorise its processing. We do not train AI models on your data.

We and our licensors retain rights in the service and branding. These terms give you permission to use the service while you comply with them; they do not transfer ownership. Content you deliberately make public can be viewed, copied, or indexed by others.

4. Acceptable use policy

Use taskl.ie lawfully and respect other people’s rights. You must not:

Report abuse or security concerns to rian@paradaux.io. Provide enough detail to investigate, without collecting or exposing other users’ data. We assess reports proportionately and may remove content, limit features, or suspend access to address breaches, legal requirements, or security risks. Where practical and lawful, we explain the action and allow you to remedy or appeal it by email. Urgent protective action may occur without advance notice.

5. AI and integrations

AI outputs may be inaccurate, incomplete, or inappropriate. Review them before relying on them or allowing consequential actions. You remain responsible for decisions and actions taken using the service. AI features are not professional advice.

Connecting Google, GitHub, Discord, MCP clients, or other third-party services authorises the data exchange and actions required by that connection. Their terms and privacy policies also apply. You are responsible for configuring access appropriately; availability of an integration depends on its provider.

6. Charges and service changes

If you purchase a paid plan, the price, billing period, renewal and cancellation conditions will be disclosed before purchase. We do not impose a paid subscription without your agreement. Statutory withdrawal and refund rights remain unaffected. Any price change applies prospectively with advance notice and an opportunity to cancel.

We may maintain, update, or discontinue features. We aim to give reasonable advance notice of material reductions or discontinuation and an opportunity to export data, except where urgent security or legal requirements prevent it. No specific uptime commitment applies unless separately agreed.

7. Termination and data

You may stop using the service and request account closure at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for a material breach, legal requirement, or a serious security or abuse risk. Where reasonably possible, we provide notice and an opportunity to resolve a breach first.

On termination, your right to use the service ends. You can request export or deletion of your data; for organisational workspaces, the authorised administrator controls those requests. The DPA and privacy policy govern retention and deletion, including backups and legally required records. Terms that by their nature must survive termination continue to apply.

8. Responsibility and liability

We provide the service with reasonable care and skill. To the extent permitted by law, we do not promise uninterrupted or error-free operation, suitability for every purpose, or accuracy of third-party or AI content. Keep appropriate independent copies of essential information.

For business customers, to the extent permitted by law, neither party is liable for indirect or consequential loss or lost profits arising under this agreement. Each party’s total liability is limited to the greater of fees paid or payable for the service in the preceding 12 months and €100. These limits do not apply to fraud, deliberate misconduct, gross negligence, death or personal injury caused by negligence, your payment obligations, or liability that cannot lawfully be limited. They do not limit data subjects’ statutory rights or remedies.

If you are a consumer, mandatory consumer protections, statutory guarantees, and remedies apply notwithstanding these terms. Nothing excludes rights that the law does not allow us to exclude.

9. Disputes and updates

Contact us first so we can try to resolve a concern. Applicable law and court jurisdiction are determined by the rules that apply to your agreement; these terms do not require mandatory arbitration or waive access to competent courts. Consumers retain protections and forum rights available under mandatory law in their country of residence.

We will give reasonable advance notice of material changes to these terms, normally at least 30 days, except where changes are urgently required by law or security. Changes apply prospectively. If you do not agree, you may stop using the service and close your account. Where the law requires express acceptance, we will obtain it. If a provision is unenforceable, the rest continues to apply.
